About The Life Plan

The Life Plan was born out of a simple desire: to live with clarity, purpose, and joy. It’s the product of wisdom passed down from mentors, coaches, pastors, friends, and family—and the lived experiences of Tim and Liz Pierson as they sought to build a meaningful life together.

As a young husband and father, Tim carried a question that wouldn’t let go: How do I ensure my family lives a life that truly matters? He wanted to make decisions that honored their values, built a meaningful legacy, and allowed them to live with intention rather than regret. But with endless options and competing voices, clarity wasn’t easy to find.

Through years of learning from mentors, pastors, coaches, books, and experiences, Tim and Liz began shaping a simple framework that helped them cut through the noise. It gave them a way to define success, say yes to the right opportunities, and confidently say no to the ones that didn’t fit. What started as a personal tool soon became something others wanted to learn—first friends, then community groups, and then colleagues. With each conversation, the framework grew stronger, clearer, and more practical until it became what is now The Life Plan.

The Life Plan has been foundational for Tim and Liz in building their family’s identity and mission. Looking back, they credit much of their personal and professional growth to the clarity this process provided. But more than that, they see the joy and freedom that comes from living aligned with who they are and where they’re going.

Today, The Life Plan exists to empower others to do the same. It’s a self-paced tool designed to help people answer two essential questions:

  • Who am I?

  • Where am I going?

  • What steps do I take to live a life of meaning?

By providing a clear path forward, The Life Plan helps reduce stress, strengthen families, and equip people to make a lasting, positive impact in their communities and beyond.

Alongside this work, Tim has served people in many different arenas—from his years as Chaplain for the Washington Nationals, walking with players and families through the pressures of professional sports, to his leadership in real estate and community service in the D.C. area. In every role, his mission has been the same: to honor God by serving people and helping them live lives of meaning, impact, and joy.

Tim and Liz live in Northern Virginia with their three daughters and their golden retriever, Brinkley. Together, they remain deeply committed to helping others build lives that are intentional, purpose-driven, and full of joy.
